Callala Bay

Man, I haven't blogged in ages.
I can't give the same ol' excuse that I haven't had the time, although i have been tied down between uni, working at the shop and handball.

Now the handball season is officially over,
Our team managed to secure second placing (oh yeah!)
And it's mid-session break now.

So what's been going on with me..

Well..
Over the mid-sess (pronounced mid-sesh), nine of us up and packed to Geordie's beach house down at Callala Bay.

Let's name the people now and get it out of the way...
Geordie, Ben, Ryan, Louise, Pip, Eric, Adam, Steve and me!

So three cars, packed to the MAX, puttered down the coast on the Sunday arvo
*note: I didn't pack THAT much.. despite what Ryan and Adam might say*
Geordie, pulling executive powers of driver, made us listen to his music (consisting of "yo's", swear words, and very little else)
I even burned a compilation of music for the trip.. titled "The Awesomely Awesome Road Mix"

:D

We spent the entire holiday just chilling out at the beach or in the house..
Occasionally playing basketball and tennis..
Occasionally having some alcohol to drink..

*mmmff*

Who'm I kidding..
We had alco every night..

:D

Hey.. it's the holidays..

Weather was really good to us, and we had sunny days,
Although the water was just a TAD bit cold..

Highlight of the whole trip:
I saw Dolphins!!

Swimming in the water, I look up and see a fin..
First thought that comes to my head: "Shit..! Shark!!"
Then I mentally slapped myself and took a better look and saw many many fins.. and went "oooOOoh, Dolphins!!!"
Noone believed that I saw the dolphins, and I had to clamber up onto Ben's tall tall shoulders to get a better look.

Hah!
Doubt me!
Damn you all..!

My protectors, the twin towers...

Then towards the night,
Pip showed us all her fire-making skills and built an awesome bonfire,
While Geordie proved his chef skills on the bbq.
Not to be beat, Adam and I won the night of cuisine with our prowess at s'more-making..

What's a S'More, i hear?
Stick a nice fat squishy marshmallow on the end of a stick, hold it out on the bonfire for ten seconds till it's crispy on the outside and lovely n gooey on the inside..
Hold out a plain biscuit with a piece of chocolate on it
Stick the gooey marshmallow goodness onto the choc + biscuit
Smush it together with another biscuit..

Wallah!!
S'mOre Goodness..

Tuesday was Ben's birthday, so naturally we all stayed up drinking
(Everyone else anyway, i was as sober as a plank)
Caramel MudCake + IceCream
What more can you ask for in a midnight birthday snack..?

I can't even begin to describe the awesomeness of our holiday down the coast.
All of us didn't wanna leave the little house, we were having so much fun.
Not when we knew that we had assignments, essays and uni work to return to.
Damn the real world.
