I can't believe that it's going to be almost a year since we're seen each other,
But thanks to the miracle of the internet,
It seems like just yesterday that we spoke together.

I started out this blogpost wanted to write a little poem
But i decided not to, coz it was starting to sound too sappy.

I really miss the days where we would see each other EVERYDAY..
Sigh.
Anyway, I hope i get to see you soon, but i guess that'll have to be next year right?
Studying abroad sucks.
It puts everyone too far away from the important people.

10 Things You May or May Not Know About Me

And me actually doing this thing just proves exactly HOW bored I am.
Damn.
Here goes.
  1. I'm a left hander!.. :D.. yes, i think with the right side of my brain. Hence making me "artistic" and smarter than every other rightie out there. *nyeh*
  2. I'm not really as "self-confident" as I may seem. Yes, I have self-esteem issues. Always have. So sue me.
  3. I bite my fingernails. Shame on me. *shy shy*.. sigh.. every friend of mine has my permission to smack me anytime they see me noshing on my digits.
  4. I'm studying in Uni of Wollongong... no, its not a obscure place in Thailand.. no, its not some kampung somewhere. It's a REALLY nice suburb outside Sydney city. I get to wake up to the ocean on one side of the window and the bushland mountains on the other. So THERE!
  5. I cry everytime i see a sappy movie. Adopted babies.. Dying mother.. Lost child.. Wedding reunion.. Lost puppy.. Burnt toast.. Doesn't take much to make tears well in my eyes. I'm such a sap, its disgusting. hahaha..
  6. I'm struggling to put together this list. Although that might be something you already know.
  7. I actually enjoy dressing up and looking good (although that is a rather rare occasion).. I do enjoy wearing dresses and skirts and other girly-girly stuff. So don't seem so shocked when i do.
  8. I've never been drunk in my entire life. Not that this is an invitation for anyone to get me drunk.
  9. I miss my high school friends more than is healthy for me. I miss my college friends too. I miss being part of a close knit group of friends who're crazy and weird and strange and all the lovely things that make them my friends.
  10. Noone in Australia bar my relatives can pronounce my name correctly. It's always KaiLing or "sorry what's your name again?" or "ermm..." So i have been dubbed Carly by some of my uni friends.

I've exceeded my downloads off the internet!
Die, the person who invented limited downloads.
I mean, I'm paying for broadband, I should be able to surf the net however much I want.

I feel a tantrum coming on.
I wanna just stomp my foot and go "I want! I want! I WANT!"

Anyway,
So I'm finding refuge in my cousin's house, who has threatened me in case i exceed HIS downloads..
*evil glint in my eye* nyahahhaaa...

So picture update time,
Over the easter holidays,
I went to the Royal Easter Show with my cousins, Jo and May
(will put up photos of the Easter Show some other time lah. Damn lazy now)

Then met up with MeiTien,
Who came all the way to Sydney to visit me :D
Nolah, she came to spend time with her cousins or something like that.
Anyway, we went to the zoo, with her cousin David.



So that's us (me, MeiTien and David)
Taking advantage of us looking like tourists.. hehe (yes, i know we're tourists.. but not TOURISTS-tourists!... know what i mean??!)

Close to ALL the animals that we saw were sleeping.
Damn lazy Australians.
Australian animals, i mean.
Same thing la.
:D .. i joke, i joke..


Anyway, this is the ambassador of the Lazy Aussie Zoo Animals.
Meet, Ah Bin the Binturong.
After numerous accounts with sleepy, unmoving animals,
We were getting kinda frustrated and started calling out to the animals.

Me: Bin-bin!!... hello..!?!?!?... Ah BIN..!!.. wake up!!
MeiTien: Bin-bin ah??.. Oi..!..

Obviously Ah-Bin was oblivious.
He was probably thinking "stupid two legged mammals in their funny coloured fur and high-pitched whiney voices... leave me alone la.."



So, anyway, in conclusion,
I had tons of fun meeting with a fellow Malaysian/Taylorian mate and catch up with old times
And gossip about everything.
hahaha..

Happy birthday, Mouse!
After all those years..
Of Burger King pre-MrLee's Tuition visits,
Of sneaking M&Ms in MrSheat's chem classes,
Of being one of the few "cool" kids in the Science1 class.. (hehe.. true, don't doubt it..)
Of bumming around working really hard in class
Of being the BEST worst prefects on the board (Eugene would be so proud of us.. NOT)
Of life-saving acts (*ahem ahem*)

Well, mainly,
Just of being friends and having a great time..

*big sigh of relief*

After slogging at the computer,
Achey-butt and frozen-fingers,
Managed to squeeze the 1,500 words of that silly content analysis paper.

Decided to delight my avid hordes of readers *...rooOooiighttt..*
With a few very photos of my place here in "the Gong" (that's what the Aussies call Wollongong.. 'Gong.. so cute right?)

I've got a pretty nice room with ensuite toilet (of utmost importance!.. there i go, sounding like a snob again, so sue me..)
But my room's on the top floor, so i get a pretty nice view, with a slight ocean view,
I certainly get the ocean wind right into my window.


Moved into my room early Feb with help from my mommy and my cousin, Jo.
Man, the amount of luggage that i had was CRAZY!
But then when i unpacked, suddenly felt like i had no clothes to wear.
Still feels like i'm wearing the same thing over and over again every week.
Haha.

La la La..
