Sorry for the inactivity.
Been so super busy the past couple of weeks.
Haven't managed to catch my breath ever since I came back from Redang.
Okay, that's a good starting place.
Redang trip with the CorAl kids.
Was SUPER ultimate fun.
The four days I was away from home, I had close to NO sleep at all.
Thursday night, couldn't sleep at all, coz we were on the bus on the way to Redang (an overnight trip) and couldn't seem to fall asleep on the bus.
A 4am stop in the middle of nowhere at this Malay stall.
Rinee with her "soup batang", which she had to blow, since she blows everything.. ;)
Friday morning, arrived at Redang and settled into our rooms.
Snorkel time!
In the beginning, very jakun la.. first time snorkelling wat..
But was pretty confident that I wouldn't DROWN (what with all that swimming background.. I wouldn't drown.. right?..)
So, swim, swim, swim.. see fish, see rocks, see corals..
Stayed up til about 3am chatting under the trees by the beach, temaning Wayne while he attempts to finish his artwork.
Then, just as we were about to go to sleep, it started raining.
And when I say raining, i mean pouring goats and cows..
Not cats n dogs.
Goats and Cows.
So, Eddie n I decided to wait it out, slowly freezing to death (since we were all in shorts only.. beach what..)
Damn smart idea.
4am. The rain not stopping.
4:30am. It's getting worse.
4:45am. Cannot tahan already..
RUN FOR IT!!!
N we dashed through the heavy rain n wet cold puddles,
Soaked right through to our skins,
Dried ourselves off n went to sleep at 5am.
7:30am.
I wake up curled in a tight uncomfortable ball just to find that the queen-sized bed was being conquered by a slumbering snoring roommate.
The woman is tinier than me, and she took up the ENTIRE BED.
Being the nice person that I am, I didnt want to wake her up by pushing or prodding the invading body parts,
So, I dragged my sleepy ass out of bed, and went to sit by the balcony outside our rooms, stoning.
Besides, there was no way I could go back to sleep,
Got the Royal Snoring Orchestra inside my room, how to sleep..?
So, the rest of Saturday was spent snorkelling and chilling by the beach and snorkelling and chilling by the beach.
I saw NEMO!..
And I saw sotong, who was very fascinated by Eiran's wiggling fingers.
Saw TriggerFish, which freaked the hell out of me the first time.. (the bloody fish freaking CHASED us!)
Saw SHARKS.. little baby sharks.. which was pretty cool..Saw lots n lots of diff corals n stuff..
Saw Eiran, doing the underwater-boogie.. (not a pretty sight, i can tell you that)
Heard an Underwater Lion.. otherwise known as Eiran-being-Sily..
Saw Rinee trying to maintain underwater (coz once you start laughing with the stupid snorkel mask on, you drown from all that seawater..)
Which resulted in the most RIDICULOUS faces, i can tell you that..
OH..
Saw a huge ass sting-ray..
That was AWESOME.
First thing that came to my mind was Poor Steve Irwin..
Tried to follow the sting-ray, to look at it closer..
But it swam so fast that it practically FLEW underwater.
Awesome.
I managed to convince Wayne n Eddie to stay up all night to watch the sunrise..
Jon decided to join us.
By the time 4am came around, we were all so stoned that I can't remember what we were even talking about that night
When it was time for sunrise, we realised..SHIT, which side of the island is the bloody SUN rising?!..
Theoretically, it should rise on the opposite side of the moon right?
WRONG.
But, in the end, we managed to catch the sunrise,
Although it was a bit too cloudy to appreciate it fully.
Managed to get some nice shots off too, although my horrible camera skills and shaky hands resulted in more wobbly pictures than good ones..
Left for home on Sunday.
So all in all, I think I only got like 4 hours of sleep in those four days.
But it was a pretty awesome trip.
Can't wait for the next island adventure.
*Pictures to be put up later when I get my Photoshop fixed.
