lost
the past three nights have seen three crazy girls attempt to stay awake the whole night to watch an entire season of Lost in those three running nights. sounds crazy, i know. but we managed to pull it off. shameless to say, we failed the first Wednesday night (ah well, I didnt fail, those two cows konked out on me at around half-past 4. hopeless.. tsk tsk..), we got up to about 4am on Thursday night and on the last night, two heroes (namely myself and billietan) managed to watch til the last two episodes, which by then we realized sulin had passed out beside us, snoring gently in slumber.
but SUCCESS! we did it! just half hour ago, we finished the last episode of Lost Season 1, including the "special feather" bit in the dvd... its supposed to read "special FEATURE" but u know malaysia's pirates.. their England not so best.
Lost. nice series. but its kinda slow-moving, so i dont know what's the big deal with some people going "oh its the best show n it'll keep u on your toes".
- firstly: they show endless and useless playbacks that come at the start of every episode. u know when they go "previously, on Lost.."... i mean, if you're gonna show that much of whatever happened previously, i might as well skip to the end bits.
- second: you never get to see the damn monster/machine/ghost/people or whatever it is that's supposed to be on the island in the first place and its damn annoying, because its like dangling a carrot in front of the horse. the horse'll follow the carrot eagerly for the first few minutes, but after a while, all you're gonna get is a pretty damn irritated horse.
- BUT... the sound effects in the show are pretty good. but thats my personal opinion. they even make it so that when the word LOST comes out with the sudden "jeng!" so that your heart drops to your feet. so that part was good.
so.. all in all. pretty good show. had almost as much fun watching the show as i had spending time with two lunatics for four days running.
ah well. holidays are over. class starts on monday. i've taken a look at the new timetable. n i cant say that i have any complaints. so i'm hoping that we don't get too many changes. but then again, this wouldnt be the School of Communication unless we have grumpy students complaining about the timetable, grumpy lecturers complaining about the grumpy students complaining about the timetable, and grumpy office people complaining about grumpy lecturers complaining about the grumpy students complaining about the timetable.
makes the world go 'round. communication.
